Last night was without doubt one of the greatest storms we’ll have this summer. As I say in my apartment in Marquette the rain kept pouring down while lightning and thunder came and went for several hours. Eventually the rain stopped by the lightning was still constantly lighting up the sky in the distance.
I headed out with tripod and camera in hand and got a few decent shots. Turns out they were my first ever lightning strike captures.
The first two photos are taken from the Marquette Harbor boat docks facing east. The third photo was taken from the Marquette Lighthouse Beach facing northwest.
It’s not often you can watch a storm like that for hours.
